What’s discussed?
The importance in achieving sustainable business growth
Why this strategy has stood the test of time even as the landscape changes
The most important concept I learned from two of my mentors
The three rules or sins to avoid at all costs
Here we go….
Dr. Jeff Spencer and
taught me the concepts of “Engaging the field” which means taking action and gathering one's own data instead of passively observing or relying on others' experiences.Engaging the Field has three sins or rules about what to avoid.
The first rule, "don't be dull," refers to actively seeking knowledge and not asking irrelevant questions or making assumptions. Asking unrelated questions during a training session or seeking advice from others without considering individual circumstances are examples of being dull.
The second rule, "don't be distracted," cautions against trying multiple strategies simultaneously or constantly changing tactics. If you’re trying too many different things at once, you’re being distracted.
The third rule, "don't be delusional," addresses the issue of overestimating (or underestimating) one's expertise or results. Imposter Syndrome is an example of a delusion.
Watch the video above for more examples from personal experience.
